No BeanShell commands in my applet

Philipp Roessler
Hi!

I'm trying to use BeanShell in an applet.
When I started off with the original "JDemoApplet", everything worked
fine.
Then I changed a few things (see below) and now the applet doesn't look
and
work as expected anymore:
the banner isn't colorful and with a little bean but plain black on
white text.
More seriously, no commands are known! When I type e.g. 'pwd();', I get
"// Error: EvalError: Command not found: pwd() : at Line: 1 : in file:
  <unknown file> : pwd ( )"

Here's the changes I have made to the demo files:

~ in JDemoApplet.java:

   //package bsh.util;
   package phil_20050726;

~ in jconsole.html:

   <!--
   <APPLET CODE = "bsh.util.JRemoteApplet" CODEBASE = "/" WIDTH = 500
HEIGHT
= 250></XMP>
   <PARAM NAME = CODE VALUE = "bsh.util.JRemoteApplet" >
   <PARAM NAME = CODEBASE VALUE = "/" >
   <PARAM NAME="type" VALUE="application/x-java-applet;version=1.3">
   <PARAM NAME="scriptable" VALUE="false">
   </APPLET>
   -->

   <APPLET width = 500 height = 250 \
    code = "phil_20050726.JDemoApplet" \
    codebase = ".." \
    archive = "/mnt/HOME/STUD/proessl/lib/bsh-2.0b4.jar">
   </APPLET>

Thanks for any help!

Phil
